The purpose of Nwanyichukwu Outreach is to assist the less privileged and advance their development through its charitable projects designed to empower young women (aged 18-35 years) firstly in the rural communities in Anambra state, Nigeria.
The outreach extends God’s love through its funding of projects that deliver a holistic program to help young women actualize the good future they desire.
To teach, train and equip young women with the knowledge, practical skills and tools required to fulfill their purpose.
The projects funded by this outreach will empower young women in a sustainable way by “training them to fish” instead of “feeding them fish.”
Grants for apprenticeships will be awarded to young women that cannot afford apprenticeships if not funded through a skills development grant. Every year there will be up to 10 skills development grants to fund apprenticeship places for young women within the community.
This is designed to equip participants with the knowledge required to build capacity for the market place and entrepreneurship. This will be delivered in modules e.g. accounting, business planning, marketing and customer service.
These are personal and social skills required for people to function confidently and competently with
themselves, with other people and with the wider society e.g. communication & interpersonal skills,
resilience, managing emotions, coping with emotion and stress and creative thinking.
